The whole of Covadonga mountain in Asturias is the origin of the Picos de Europa National Park, the first of the National Parks.

To visit the Lakes of Covadonga we have to go to Cangas de Onis and from this town take the carriage that goes to Arenas de Cabrales.
A couple of kilometers away we find a roundabout with the indication and deviation to Covadonga.

The "mirror of the fairies", the "rock of the false lovers" and the "golden tree" seem imaginary places, and yet they exist in the forest of Irati, better known as La Selva de Irati. The legend of the wizard Merlin resides in every tree, stream and stone of this forest area that despite its logging, Irati has kept its charm intact and still has plots of virgin forest that offer stunning landscapes.- in Selva de Irati.
