Goðafoss (in Icelandic, 'Waterfall of the gods' or 'Waterfall of the goði') is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland. It is located in the municipality of Þingeyjarsveit region of Norðurland Eystra in the north of the country, at the start of the highland road of Sprengisandur. The waters of the Skjálfandafljót river fall from a height of twelve meters and along a width of thirty meters.
